Support

Help with returns, backups, purchases, subscriptions, and the private data that stays on your device.

Email the official Laterpond support mailbox

support@laterpond.com

Include your device model, operating-system version, Laterpond version from Settings → Help & about, and the steps that produced the problem.

Never include diary content in a support message. Support cannot open, read, or recover what you write. If a screenshot contains private text, crop or cover it before attaching.

Returns not arriving?

Check notification permission, the app’s Reliability screen, and battery restrictions.

Premium missing?

Restore purchases with the same Apple or Google account used to buy it.

Moving devices?

Create a backup or export before removing the app from the old device.

Need everything gone?

Erase the local diary inside Laterpond, then remove any backups you created.

Returns and notifications

Laterpond schedules return reminders locally on your device. If a return does not alert at the expected time:

  1. Open Settings → Notifications → Reliability in Laterpond and use the test notification.
  2. Confirm notifications are allowed for Laterpond in your device settings.
  3. On Android, allow Alarms & reminders when offered. Exact timing can also be delayed by manufacturer battery-saving settings; the Reliability screen links to the relevant system controls.
  4. On iOS, check Focus modes and Scheduled Summary if banners are being delayed or hidden.
  5. Open Laterpond after changing device time zone or restoring a device so it can reconcile scheduled returns.

A return remains visible inside the app even if the operating system suppresses its notification.

Restore Premium

Open Settings → Premium & trial → Manage access → Restore purchases. The currently signed-in App Store or Google Play account must be the one that owns the purchase. There is no Laterpond account to sign in to.

If the store confirms the purchase but access does not return, email support with the device, app version, store platform, and the anonymous purchase identifier shown near the bottom of Manage access. Do not send a full receipt unless support specifically requests it.

Manage, cancel, or refund a subscription

Billing is controlled by the store. Use Settings → Premium & trial → Manage access → Manage in the store, or go directly to:

Cancelling stops a future renewal but does not delete diary data. Deleting Laterpond does not cancel a subscription. Refund eligibility and processing are determined by Apple or Google under their store policies.

Back up, export, and move your diary

Laterpond has no server copy. Before replacing a device or uninstalling the app, use the backup and export controls in Settings:

To move devices, create a fresh encrypted backup on the old device, transfer it through a location you control, install Laterpond on the new device, and choose the restore/import action in Settings.

Delete your diary data

Use Settings → Danger zone → Erase everything, then hold the confirmation control. This permanently deletes entries, threads, attachments, and local settings from that device. It cannot be undone.

Deleting the app also removes its local container. Neither action cancels purchases or deletes backup/export files that you placed elsewhere. Remove those separately from Files, iCloud Drive, or any other destination you chose.

Delete the anonymous purchase record

Laterpond uses RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlement under an anonymous customer identifier. It contains no diary content. To request deletion, email support@laterpond.com and include the anonymous identifier from Settings → Premium & trial → Manage access. The developer will forward the request and confirm when processing is complete. Store transaction records controlled by Apple or Google are subject to their own retention rules.

Privacy and safety

Laterpond is not a medical or emergency service. Support cannot assess diary content or contact emergency services for you. If you are in immediate danger, contact the emergency number or crisis service where you live.

For a complete description of on-device storage, optional dictation, purchases, backups, exports, and deletion, read the Privacy Policy.
